Support those in need this Harvest season

This harvest season celebrate God’s generous bounty by making a positive difference in Derby.

Whether your school group, church or business wants to support those in need, we will gratefully receive all donations of food and toiletries to our food bank this autumn.

Every year we are profoundly grateful for the incredible support we receive from people like you. Your generosity ensures that our food bank can continue to make a significant difference to the lives of those who need it most, especially as we approach the colder winter months.

We welcome all the usual harvest food donations, but we also particularly need:

  • Shampoo
  • Shower gel
  • Deodorant
  • Toilet rolls
  • Ladies sanitary products
  • Nappies (especially sizes 5/6/7)
  • UHT milk
  • Coffee
  • Orange squash
  • Sweet biscuits

See here for more details about what we can accept in our food bank.

How to donate

You can drop off your donations at DCM, 10 Normanton Road, Derby from 10am to 12pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursday, or by appointment (contact Terry, our Café and Shop coordinator on the email below).

Plan a harvest collection for DCM

Inviting members of your group to take part in a food collection campaign is a great way to make a big difference. We’re happy to support you as much as we can by arranging special pick-ups, or offering a talk from a member of our team about how the food bank works and the impact it has on people’s lives.

To arrange a special collection or chat, or if you have any questions about donating, please email: [email protected]

Make a financial donation

If you’re not able to make a physical donation, financial contributions really help us to meet the increased demand we’re experiencing. When we are running low on particular items, financial donations enable us to restock and buy exactly what our clients need, so it’s a great way to support the food bank.

Donate here

Together, we can make sure that no one in our community goes hungry this winter. Thank you for being a part of this incredible effort and helping us to transform lives in Derby.
