The event brought together local business leaders, civic representatives, and supporters to learn more about the life-changing work of Derby City Mission and explore ways to partner with us in transforming lives across the city. Over a hearty breakfast, guests heard first-hand about our vision to Transform Lives Together by demonstrating God’s love and offering hope to some of Derby’s most vulnerable individuals. Guests also had the opportunity to tour our facilities and see the breadth of our work—from emergency and support services in Safe Space and The Ark and through our My Place and The Advocates programmes, food provision in our Community Shop and Café, to Jubilee debt advice and street outreach through our dedicated team of Street Pastors. The High Sheriff offered consistent support for our mission throughout his year in office. He visited Derby City Mission to find out about our projects first hand, took part in an observation shift with the Street Pastors, and graciously acted as host during the breakfast, personally encouraging local businesses and supporters to see the value of our work and consider how they might get involved. The event was a great success and we are deeply grateful to Ian for his wonderful, ongoing support during his year as High Sheriff. We look forward to developing the connections made during the morning and continuing to work together with our city’s business community to make a lasting impact in Derby. Manage Cookie Preferences
